Bad Dragon cum lube
Difficulty: Medium | Cost vs Commercial:~$40 startup cost ($20 J-lube, $20 for others) makes about 9-10L vs $7 for one bottle (250ml) or $49 for 9 bottles (2.25L), not including shipping.
Ingredients
- J Lube - 2.9% by weight
- Potassium sorbate - 0.1% by weight (stabilizer)
- Citric acid - 0.05% by weight (4.5 pH balance, to activate potassium sorbate and match vagina's natural acidity)
- Titanium dioxide - ~0.1% (Optional, did not calculate concentrations for this. For color realism)
- Filtered water - 97% by weight
Instructions (for small 4-8oz batches)
- Put J Lube and water into a protein mix shaker bottle. Close the bottle and shake well for a minute. Open and break clumps. Repeat shake and break clumps until all clumps are truly gone.
- Microwave on 50% heat until reaches a boil then immediately stop (just like making gravy from a powder mix).
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Lube is ready now.
- Add potassium sorbate and citric acid for stability. If you don't intend to use the lube for vaginal play and plan to go through it within a few months, this step is unnecessary.
- If using titanium dioxide for color realism, I recommend playing around with water and starting with 0.1%. Then go up or down in factors of 2 and binary searching until it seems right. Then experimenting with small batches of your lube.
Notes
- DO NOT use a blender!! This will chop up the polymer chains in the J lube and destroy its sticky properties as lube. You'll just have a liquid the same consistency of water with leftover molecules in it.
- I used a mixer bottle with a wire whisk ball, it was OK but a pretty annoying experience both to clean and it needed me to shake and declump many times to get rid of the clumps. This experience was shared with all kinds of uses for the bottle so it probably has more to do with the bottle and whisk combo itself. Since then I've found HELIMIX bottles super effective. Probably that would give a better user experience for making cum lube too but haven't tried yet.
- J-lube is 25% polyethelyne oxide (active lube agent) and 75% dispersing agent by weight. There's another product X-lube which is just 100% polyethelyne oxide. I've only tried the recipe with J-lube. Probably the dispersing agent helps but Bad Dragon probably uses X-lube, since we don't see any dispersing agents on the list of ingredients on the back of the bottle.
- Microwaving is essential for texture and consistency, gives it a more silky texture. If you don't bring the J lube-water mixture to a boil, you get a consistency a lot closer to mucus. h/t to pseudonymous MattGuyver's 2018 amazon review for this tip.
LMNT electrolyte mix
Difficulty: Easy | Cost vs Commercial:$40 startup ingredients for 400-800 servings, vs $40 for 30-45 servings (typical offerings on Amazon)
Ingredients for 20 servings
- 50g Kosher salt (1000mg sodium per serving)
- 7.7g Potassium chloride (200mg potassium per serving)
- 7.8g Magnesium malate (60mg magnesium per serving)
- 15g Citric acid
- 1-2g Sucralose - to taste
Instructions
- Add all powders to a container. Shake well.
Usage
- Scoop 1/2 tbsp powder into 500ml water. Shake well. Ready to drink.
Notes
- The recipe of 1000mg sodium, 200mg potassium, and 60mg magnesium per portion is published publicly on the LMNT website. If you mix water with just these, it'll taste like shit. The citric acid and sucralose help cover up the salty taste and actually give you a balanced taste profile. As stated, you'll get a relatively flavorless electrolyte mix for water that works very effectively and tastes decent. Think the plain flavor of soylent, that kinda just tastes like damp bread.
- The easiest way to add flavor is lemon or lime juice into the water as you prep it. Main downside of this approach is you can't premix it.
- To premix with lemon or lime flavor, you need maltodextrin as a carrier with a 1:3 ratio of juice to maltodextrin. It absorbs the liquid and carries it in powder form so that you can mix that with the rest of your powder. I have not done this yet so I don't have exact ratios to publish yet.
- For grape flavor use dimethyl anthranilate, effective at 10ppm concentration. It's typically sold as a liquid so you'll also need to use maltodextrin as a carrier to premix into powder mixes.
Breast milk
Difficulty: TBD | Cost vs Commercial: TBD. Frozen breast milk is frequently sold on facebook marketplace for $1/oz.
Ingredients: TBD
Instructions: TBD
Notes
- Note that this is for making a drink with a similar taste profile as real breast milk, but without caring for the nutrient profile.
- Have not completed this recipe yet. Need to first buy breast milk from several mothers and experiment to find what works. Current sample size too low. Will fill this page out once I've nailed down a good recipe.
